You Plant Seeds In Your Children's Hearts

“I hope they are having a good time,” E said as she helped me cut pieces of tape to wrap presents with.

She’d gotten the tails end of a coin toss who gets to go present shopping with daddy today vs tomorrow.

Of course both girls wanted to go today but J won the coin toss and E proceeded to cry so I was shocked.

Shocked.

To hear those unprompted words escape her 4 year old lips after J and daddy had left. And it was a gift to my mommy heart that in the midst of the constant refereeing of my children’s childish growing learning natures....well they are somewhere in there learning to love and wish the best of people even after disappointment.
